Editing Lip Synching

Today we practiced editing lip synching a music video to a music track, we found this fairly easy and it didn't take long produce. This helps us as we only have one lesson to edit our preliminary video and so we now have the experience to achieve this.
And we added a transition effect although we felt that we won't do this in our final video as it doesn't look very professional.

Video Ideas for Eternal Flame: Bangles

Idea 1.
Location changes:

Intro and Verse
Action in the forest which is darker to suit the tone of the verse and can be made darker using editing techniques if it is not dark enough.

Chorus
Shot outdoors in the sun to suit the change in tone in the chorus.

Lots of close-ups and long shots of the main artist to promote them, which is typical of a pop song.

There will also be a slight costume change between the verse and chorus which is typical of a pop video.

Idea 2.
Location:

Intro and Verse
Shot throughout school to show off more of a story this time, cuts between girl singing and girl and boy interacting.

Chorus:
Just girl singing as it is the main part of the song and so can promote her.

We did a class vote on which idea we should take further and the over all and most popular idea was Idea 1. We are pleased with the outcome because this was our initial idea so as a group we have more ideas of what could be going on.

Location:
As this is the preliminary task, we have been told that we are only allowed to film in college. this has limited us to filming locations so we have chosen to work outdoors throughout the whole video. The locations will be in the 'forest' at the back of the college and by the pond.
